The body and memory are recurring themes and essential elements of Umberto Manzo's poetics.

Since the Eighties, the artist has overlapped pieces of papers and canvases in his works gathering together images and signs made at different times with multiple techniques. His "memory archives" also include images of his own body or, as in his most recent works, silhouettes of faces taken from classical statuary and he experiments with new formal solutions.

In this exhibition, a large installation consisting of 15 horizontal elements will be presented, a work that the artist considers to potentially be in constant flux, created with the layering technique that remains the most recognizable stylistic feature of his work. A sculpture, a large triptych and other new works in different formats will also be exhibited.
